This Privacy Policy explains what information Dark Psychology TCG (the "Game"), operated by Reed Legacy Group, LLC ("Reed Legacy Group," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. This policy describes what the Game actually does, not generic boilerplate.

1. Guest Play (No Account)

By default, you can play without creating an account. In this mode, your profile — username, avatar, saved decks, match history, win/loss stats, quest streaks, Shards, and card collection — is stored only in your browser's local storage. Nothing about your guest play is sent to or stored on our servers except live match state while a multiplayer game is actually in progress (see Section 3).

2. Accounts

If you choose to create an account (email/password) or sign in with Google, we collect and store:

Your email address (for email/password accounts) or basic profile info provided by Google (name, email, profile photo) for Google sign-in;
The same profile data described in Section 1 (username, avatar, decks, match history, stats, Shards, card collection), synced to our database (Google Firebase / Firestore) instead of only your browser;
A limited public subset of your profile (username, avatar, wins, losses) that other players can see for friend/social features — never your email or full match history.

Authentication itself is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we do not directly store your password.

3. Multiplayer & Social Data

When you play a multiplayer match, the live game state (both players' hands, decks, and board) is stored in our database for the duration of the match so both players' devices can stay in sync. Friend requests and match invites you send or receive are stored so the relevant players can see and respond to them.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the Game is used — for example, which screens are visited, whether a match was won or lost, and which buttons on our marketing page are clicked. This is aggregate usage data, not used to identify you personally, and is subject to Google's own privacy practices.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage to keep your guest profile and session, and cookies/local storage set by Google Firebase (authentication) and Google Analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks.

6. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to: operate and improve the Game, keep multiplayer matches in sync, enable friends/social features, understand usage patterns, and communicate with you if you contact us. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Third-Party Services

We rely on Google Firebase (hosting, authentication, database) and Google Analytics to operate the Game. These providers may process data on our behalf subject to their own privacy and security practices.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

Guest profile data lives only in your browser until you clear it yourself. Account data is retained as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at jreed3727@gmail.com and we will process the request.

9. Children's Privacy

The Game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
